Thrifty Thursday/Free Delilah Tote Bag from IThinkSew

Happy Thursday Everyone!

***Since I originally did this post, I had a message from someone who was having a problem downloading the pattern, so I looked into what the problem could be. As it turns out, you must make a purchase or have made a purchase in the past to get this pattern for free. I did not realize this when I did the post, so my apologies. If you really would like to have the bag pattern, look around the site as they are having a nice sale on a number of their patterns. If you purchase a pattern, then you can get this one for free. It isn't at all clear on the website, and since I have purchased patterns in the past, I didn't have a problem.  So once again, I apologize for any inconvenience.

You may remember the Emily Bag sew along that I did for Sew News. Fabulous bag. In fact, so fabulous that I no longer own one. My niece came by, loved the bag, so it went home with her. One of my exchange students came for a visit, along with his fiance and his mother. They loved the bags I made, and off they went to Italy. I have enough fabric to make the one on the right below and I really should as I had looked forward to using it as a shopping bag.
After I made the bag, I bought the pencil case pattern from IThinkSew. Once again, I love the little case. I made the original size and use it for my colored pencils. I extended the length of the case and use it for my paint brushes.
I opened my mail this morning and saw that the Delilah Bag is a FREE DOWNLOAD, but only until tomorrow, December 4th!!!!
I really like the look of this bag, a roomy and stylish bag with a zippered center for security.
If you would like to add the tassel, you can find the fun little tassel cap HERE.
You can make your bag look especially professional by adding the rivets. The pattern calls for 10mm rivets and you can find those HERE. There are enough in the set to make 2 bags.
You can download the Delilah Handbag pattern HERE. But remember, it's only free until tomorrow, December 4, 2015.
I have not made the bag as I have just downloaded the pattern. But I wanted all of you to know about the opportunity as I have liked all of her patterns that I have used in the past.
Enjoy!
Rhonda

  1. Thanks for the link, however I signed up but couldn't actually get it to work. Kept clicking away but seemed to be going around in circles. Shame.
